I know the government is trying to pass a budget that we can live with. My question is how hard is that? I know some programs will take a hit but have we really gotten out of control with our spending. What happened to the idea that you live within your means. Does this not apply to the government as well? Its tough trying to teach our children that they need to live within their means and the only way to reinforce this is to lead by example. Are we sending them a mixed message when we elect leaders who don't follow through with this? How long can we last with the current rate of spending and the current deficit.
